The Letter X Craft for Preschool

This Letter A Craft for Preschool is chocked full of learning and fun! Print your activity onto cardstock paper. The background of the letter X template has x-rays. Take a moment to talk about the bones in your body. Did you know the adult body has over 200 bones? Use markers and crayons to color in the images on page 2. Color in the xylophones, xerox machine, X game of tic-tac-toe, and the X marks the spot! Inside the letter X contains four shapes: circle, oval, triangle, and rectangle. Have your little ones cut out the shapes on page two and match each picture to its same shape. Using scissors is a great way to build fine motor skills. Matching shapes is a great way to learn shape names and shape recognition. What else do you see in the room that begins with the letter X?

Letter X Books for Preschool

Check out some great letter X books for preschool! Reading with your little ones is a great way to build a social bond, build vocabulary skills, and discover potential interests. Letter X is one of the trickiest letters, so a couple of my book picks have the letter X at the end of the word. Read “A Xylophone for X-Ray Fish”, “Fox in Socks”, and “Taxi Dog”. Check out this awesome X is for x-ray craft for preschool! First, print your hand template onto cardstock paper. Gray paper works best for this craft. Next, grab some Q-tips and glue them to your hand. This craft is a great way to build fine motor skills and a great way to practice using just a dot of glue! Be sure to hang your x-ray craft somewhere that needs a bit of creativity!

Letter X Activities for Pre-K

Use a Dot Dot marker to dot your letter X. Engage with a touch of social emotional learning by talking about the word, “love”. X is a kiss and O is a hug! Who would you send a kiss or a hug? How does it feel to get kisses and hugs? Another way to use this sheet is to have your little ones place one fruit loop onto each gray dot. Laminate your printable to keep it long lasting! The Alphabet Handprint Book can be a great end of the year gift for your little ones and their parents. Take a look at “X is for Xylophone”. Use rainbow paint for the handprints and a black sharpie for the details. Be sure to use Washable Kwik Stix to add some colorful flourishes for fun.  We hope you enjoyed The Letter X Craft for Preschool! Head to the Preschool Printable Library for tons of fun and learning!
