My favorite worksheet is coming next, The 5 Senses Loud VS. Quiet Sorting Sheet. Have your little ones cut and paste each object into its correct column. The loud items are “trumpet”, “stereo”, “ambulance”, and “alarm clock”. The quiet items are “candle”, “gold fish”, “rabbit”, and “butterfly”. Next, have fun with a Listening Scavenger Hunt. Put a check next to each thing you hear! Use this worksheet as a jumping off point to talk about all the sounds you hear inside and outside.
Sound Activities for Preschool
Build fine motor skills with a Sense of Sound Puzzle. Cut out the pieces on the right side of the page, then match each number to its same partner. Discover, “What’s making that noise?”. Finally, have fun tracing the words in the Sense of Sound Tracing Sheet. Read the sentences out loud for your little ones. What sound does the dog make?
Sense of Sound Books for Preschool
Read these great sense of sound books for preschool! Read “Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?” and “In the Quiet Noisy Woods”. Be sure to head outside after reading the books to see what you can hear! Have fun imitating animal sounds, or sounds of nature! Play the “Can You Guess That Sound?” game! I LOVE this game! Start by having your little ones listen to a few sounds. This can be different instruments, or just a few sounds like shuffling papers/ opening and closing the door. Have everyone close their eyes, and make one sound. Who can guess what the sound was? Have each person take a turn to make a sound, have everyone else guess!
